The 3x3 ChoiceLadder System to exercise better judgment

Have you ever wondered how much the small everyday choices that take < 5 minutes impact your happiness and success in life?

Most of the choices in life take less than a few minutes.  However, we tend to be consumed with the big decisions.  In fact, we make many of the minute and mundane choices primarily influenced by our unconscious biases, our social conditioning and our cultural beliefs.  These moment-by-moment choices do matter, sometimes even more than the big decisions in life. No school or course offers this training until now—one that breaks down the process of making choices into a simple to learn, easy to apply and fun to watch experience. Learn how to be consciously effective by improving your Judgment Quotient or JQ™ and mastering the art and skills of human judgment and choice-making!

Big Decisions - Small Choices: Balancing Life Spaces

Work

To succeed working solo or in a team, you have numerous choices to make every day.  They can be influenced by so many factors, some visible and some not so visible.

Relationships

We don’t seem to realize how much our success and quality of life is tied to the choices we make in how we treat our partner, our friends, our co-workers and our kids.

Self

Taking good care of your self is one of the primary prerequisites for a successful life.  All too often, we tend to make or ignore choices that jeopardize our opportunity to thrive.

More About Life Spaces

About ChoiceLadder Institute

The ChoiceLadder Institute was founded as a social enterprise with a ‘pay it forward’ mission to help people achieve a higher quality of life and not just a better standard of living. We focus on the day-to-day small choices and highlight the impact of unconscious bias, social conditioning and cultural beliefs on our judgment. Our approach is supported by research from the fields of Systems Thinking, Neuroscience, Behavioral Economics and Social Psychology.

Good goal setting and leadership skills enable driven individuals to accomplish their goals. However, we often notice that these same people aren’t as fulfilled as we would think. Too much emphasis seems to be placed on success and leadership development and too little if any on developing basic judgment or choice-making skills. At the Institute, we believe choice-making and judgment skills are critical to our well-being and raising the quality of our society. Leadership skills alone aren’t enough to move the needle. It takes raising both judgment and leadership skills to improve the quality of our life and of those around us.

Our Impact

Krishna’s work on being mindful, decision making, happiness and success has been an inspiration to me, helping me through some very difficult periods. He has helped me to recognize that simply to be who we are, and to know what we are, is to be in the state of joy. Understanding this is not easy and takes lots of practice as our Egos are powerful forces to overcome. However, I chose to work on it every day and I have felt a positive change in my outlook, attitude, confidence and relationships. I am grateful to Krishna for being so open and for sharing what he has learned through a lifetime of study.

— Jason Stoneman

Krishna explained many hurdles in ways I could understand in order to better work with them. He put faces on these issues that I saw popping up in my life. Once I could SEE these issues and face them, look them in the eyes, I was able to recognize that these animals did not have to run my life.

— Vivian Lee Croft

ChoiceLadder’s program is a valuable resource and a real eye-opener at so many levels. Participating in the workshop gave us an opportunity to reevaluate the choice-making process in our professional and personal lives, coaching us toward an elevated level of effectiveness.

Krishna’s disposition and clarity help the young managers find the right direction like Moses pointing to the promise land yet his approach feels like the gentle tug from a father’s kind words to a son.  That’s a special gift in my opinion.  I listen to the folks he is mentoring and hear a difference in their answers.  It’s maturity I hear.  That’s change worthy of investing in.

Serenity or Anxiety – How to make the Choice clear?

Our state of mind is a choice.  The way we go about our day and the unconscious assumptions under which we operate seem to steer our outlook quite strongly. Many of us are familiar with the Serenity Prayer, originally authored by the American theologian, that was later popularized by the twelve-step community.  It has […]
